ACC 2510 Advanced Accounting

Review of different accounting areas, including investment accounting, consolidation accounting, governmental accounting and partnership accounting. Review of International Accounting Financial Standards.

Prerequisites: ACC 2102

Course Outcomes
  • Journal Entries - Analyze transactions and prepare journal entries for partnerships, not-for-profit entities and state and local governments
  • Financial Statements - Prepare the financial statements for partnerships, consolidated corporations, not-for-profit entities and state and local governmental units.
  • International Financial Reporting Standards Accounting - Compare and contrast the major differences between U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Standards and International Financial Reporting Standards.
  • Other Financial Reporting Requirements – Identify and prepare required disclosures for segment reporting, interim reporting and Securities & Exchange Commission filings.
