AGR 1206 Horticulture II
This course will allow students to apply knowledge of plant growth in field containers, pot-in-pot methods while integrating acquired plant production methods. Students will use binomial nomenclature of trees, flowers and turf grasses to accurately label and classify plant product. Two classroom, two lab hours per week.
Prerequisites: AGR 1201
Course Outcomes
- Implement the regulation and manipulation of the greenhouse environment to create various climate needs for a variety of vegetable, tropical and nut crops.
- Demonstrate proper techniques in field, container, and Pot in Pot (PIP) production.
- Identify and classify using binomial nomenclature, various trees, flowers and turf grasses.
