AGR 1208 Sustainable Landscape Design

This course will assess the design problems/situations, the development of solutions and the communication of those solutions to the client through the design. Specific topics include designing for ecosystem maintenance/enhancement, introduction to using color in landscape designs and rendering section/elevation views. Two classroom, two lab hours per week.

Prerequisites: AGR 1206

Course Outcomes
  • Recall and apply basic sustainability concepts to landscape construction.
  • Develop and maintain a landscape area with regard to sustainable soil, lawns and pest management.
  • Create various plans that will change old landscaping systems to new practices while applying the natural considerations of ecosystems and possible pollution.
