ART 1111 Drawing I
Studio drawing develops visual skills relative to the drawing process, with emphasis on traditional as well as contemporary problems on representation and composition. Six studio hours per week. It is strongly recommended that you complete ART 1101 prior to registering for ART 1111. However ART 1101 may be taken concurrently.

Course Outcomes
- Create drawings displaying overall use of composition.
- Draw using strong observational skills in the use of visual elements to build illusionistic form.
- Draw demonstrating an understanding of effective and appropriate use of light and shadow to describe space and volume.
- Draw in 1- and 2-point perspective utilizing the principles of planar analysis of objects and their surrounding space.
