ART 1161 Black & White Darkroom Photography I
An introduction to the art and technique of black and white photography. Photographic shooting, processing and printing are stressed. Students to supply their own adjustable camera, (35mm or 120) film and print paper. Six studio hours per week.

Course Outcomes
- Demonstrate evidence of historical and contemporary approaches to medium.
- Demonstrate sound print craft in regard to tonal qualities in photographs.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of design issues relative to the use of the frame in determining a picture’s point of view.
