Art history from the early Italian Renaissance through the contemporary period.

Course Outcomes
  • Analyze art in terms of its formal, cultural, historical, iconographic contexts using correct art historical terminology.
  • Apply critical thinking by comparing, contrasting and interpreting works of art in terms of style, period, influences and iconography.
  • Recognize the chronology and major styles of western art and artists from the Renaissance through contemporary periods.
