ASL 2203 Interpreting III
Students will demonstrate proficiency in both simultaneous and consecutive interpreting while executing the necessary techniques, principles, and models to effectively interpret between source and target languages. Two classroom, two lab hours per week.
Prerequisites: ASL 2202 and ASL 2231
Course Outcomes
- Utilize various registers in ASL and English as appropriate.
- Employ advanced cognitive processing techniques.
- Utilize appropriate lag time in order to deliver a syntactically and semantically accurate message.
- Demonstrate both simultaneous and consecutive advanced interpreting techniques.
