CAT 2620 Construction Documents, Legal Requirements, & Project Delivery

Understanding the content of contract and construction documents with respect to the responsibilities and legal obligations for the stakeholders and participants of a construction project. Development of knowledge base for different types of project delivery systems. Develop an understanding of project control methods and procedures that comply with industry standards and practice. Traditional testing (proctored or in Testing Center) is used in all online sections. Two classroom, three lab hours per week.

Course Outcomes
  • Develop an understanding of the main types of construction contracts and their specific advantages as a delivery method for a construction project.
  • Demonstrate basic understanding of the types and application of administrative controls for each type of construction project delivery system.
  • Develop planning and administrative procedures to achieve project objectives.
  • Use industry specific software as a management and communication tool.
