CHN 1100 Conversational Chinese I

A foundation for gaining knowledge about Chinese culture and basic phrases related to simple spoken Chinese, including travel situations.

Course Outcomes
  • Respond to and use basic gestures and other linguistic features of Chinese language and culture.
  • Apply a knowledge of basic vocabulary and simple phrases to specific contexts.
  • Compare and contrast cultural differences using knowledge of Chinese cultural customs, exchanges and habits.
