ENG 2257 Freelance Writing

Freelance writing covers magazine, newspaper and Internet article writing. It emphasizes generating, researching and developing nonfiction prose.

Prerequisites: ENG 1101

Course Outcomes
  • Demonstrate understanding of how to market newspaper and magazine articles.
  • Integrate theme, point of view, and style into personality sketches and human interest stories.
  • Analyze stylistic elements of tone, diction, and sentence structure in students' own and others' writing.
  • Revise and edit students' own and others' writing.
  • Collaborate in small groups.
