HVA 1813 NCCER Sheet Metal Level 2A

This course covers field measurements, calculations, and fittings, construction and sheet metal drawings, radial line development, and triangulation. One classroom, two lab hours per week.

Prerequisites: Approval of Department

Course Outcomes
  • Measure layout of ductruns and fittings in the field. Calculate various offsets and seam allowances.
  • Interpret drawings from a variety of crafts.
  • Determine and create layouts for sheet metal fittings using radial line development principles
  • Develop, lay out and fabricate ductrun fittings using principles of triangulation
