LAW 1101 Business Law

The American legal system as it relates to business transactions, including the judicial system and sources of law, legal procedures, torts, business ethics and social responsibility, contracts, property, employment law, agency, partnerships and corporations.

Course Outcomes
  • Identify and analyze contract requirements and remedies, including e-contracts and intellectual property rights.
  • Describe how businesses operate in an ethical and socially responsible manner within the American legal system and regulatory environment.
  • Describe real and personal property laws, and various tort laws, and how those can affect the operation of a business.
