MUS 1135 Women's Ensemble
Three-part female choral ensemble specializing in the performance of significant choral repertoire for women's voices, representing varied styles, historical periods and languages. School and public performances required.
Prerequisites: NONE
Course Outcomes
- Learn and exhibit appropriate choral ensemble rehearsal and performance techniques, interpersonal group dynamics, and performance etiquette leading to polished choral performances.
- Acquire a singing proficiency of assigned music in an SSA choral ensemble combining elements of pitch, rhythm, tuning, blend, balance and diction.
- Develop and improve skills of sight-reading, diction, and interpretation of the sung text.
