MUS 1153 Piano Ensemble

The learning of piano duets and duos for advanced students only. Public performance a primary goal. Familiarization with major composers and repertoire for piano ensemble performance.

Course Outcomes

• Demonstrate ability to hear another player and adjust one's own level of playing simultaneously to what one hears.
• Demonstrate ability, in secondo part, to listen to primo part and effectively pedal.
• Acquire abilities necessary to perform intermediate or advanced level repertoire for piano duet.
