MUS 1174 Guitar Class II

Continuation of Guitar Class I with additional keys learned and more ensemble playing. Students must provide their own acoustic instruments. (Electric guitars are not appropriate.)

Prerequisites: MUS 1173

Course Outcomes

• Demonstrate ability beyond that of a beginner in reading from the staff and tablature.
• Demonstrate ability to perform scales with key signatures up to four sharps or four flats.
• Demonstrate ability to perform selected solo and ensemble pieces at a consistent pulse.
