PTA 1350 Therapeutic Exercise
Theory, clinical rationale and performance of the use of basic therapeutic exercises and functional activities. Application and performance of common tests, measures and data collection procedures. One classroom, nine lab hours per week.

Course Outcomes
- Students will demonstrate behaviors related to ethics, values, and professional communication during treatment of patients across the lifespan needing basic therapeutic exercise interventions at a refinement level.
- Students will be able to demonstrate clinical decision making skills within the plan of care established by the physical therapist during treatment of patients across the lifespan needing basic therapeutic exercise interventions at a refinement level.
- Students will demonstrate competence in implementing selected components of interventions identified in the plan of care established by the physical therapist during treatment of patients across the lifespan needing basic therapeutic exercise interventions at an introductory and refinement level.
- Students will demonstrate competence in performing components of data collection skills essential for carrying out the plan of care established by the physical therapist by administering tests and measures (before, during, and after interventions) to patients across the lifespan needing basic therapeutic exercise interventions at an introductory and refinement level.
- Students will demonstrate appropriate participation in the health care environment during treatment of patients across the lifespan needing basic therapeutic exercise interventions at an introductory level.
- Students will demonstrate appropriate practice management skills during treatment of patients across the lifespan needing basic therapeutic exercise interventions at a refinement level.
