PTA 2405 Modalities II
Physiology and rationale for use and application of biophysical agents including, but not limited to, hydrotherapy, biofeedback, light therapies and taping. Two lab hours per week.
Prerequisites: PTA 2325
Course Outcomes
- Students will understand the principles of other biophysical agents and how to appropriately apply them to patient's.
- Students will be able to assess the patient's appropriateness for a modality and assess the treatment outcomes.
- Students will be able to select appropriate modalities to treat the affected tissue/structure.
- Students will be able to competently apply modalities, assuring patients safety, comfort and privacy while monitoring patient's response to treatment and document treatment appropriately.
