Overview of the rich diversity of human religiosity and the key beliefs, practices, stories and rituals that serve to connect humans to the sacred. Special attention to unique individuals within each religious tradition. A comparative look at religion in our society.

Course Outcomes
- Compare and contrast different religious traditions, engage in rational discourse and reflect critically on historical contexts.
- Identify, examine and discuss the essential practices, beliefs, ceremonies and specifically, people, within the comparative traditions.
- Discuss experiences, analyze interaction between historic faiths and cultures, reflect critically on how religions shape cultural values and the individual.
