RET 1202 Lab for Respiratory Care Fundamentals II

Prerequisites: Restricted to Majors

Course Outcomes
  • Demonstrate the skills necessary to perform ABG puncture and analysis, pulse oximetry, ECGs, bronchoscopy assistance, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, and deliver respiratory care services in non-acute acture settings.
  • Describe and perform hyperinflation therapy to include techniques and equipment relevant to incentive spirometry, IPPB, and IPV.
  • Describe the techniques and equipment employed for bronchopulmonary hygiene therapy and demonstrate skills to proficiently perform dependent position and turning, postural drainage and percussion, HFC/O and HFCWO, mechanical insufflation-exsufflation, PAP adjuncts, and cough techniques.
