RET 1203 Respiratory Care Clinic I
Acquire and evaluate clinical data, initiate prescribed respiratory care treatments, manage life support activities, evaluate and monitor patient responses to therapy and modify the prescribed therapy to achieve the desired therapeutic objectives. Fifteen directed practice hours per week.

Course Outcomes
- Assess the cardiopulmonary status of patients and participate in the development and implementation of respiratory care plans.
- Initiate and perform prescribed respiratory care treatments, manage life support activities, and evaluate and monitor patient responses to therapy.
- Demonstrate the ability to acquire and evaluate clinical data and modify therapy to achieve therapeutic objectives.
- Demonstrate the ability to assess the cardiopulmonary status of patients within the clinical setting.
