THE 1116 Stage Lighting Fundamentals

Study of theatrical lighting equipment, materials, methods and techniques. Emphasis on technical aspects of stage lighting, with an introduction to the principles of lighting design.

Prerequisites: NONE

Course Outcomes
  • Demonstrate knowledge of and use of stage lighting paperwork as generated by a professional theatrical master electrician.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and use of basic principles of stage lighting design
  • Demonstrate knowledge of and use of stage lighting equipment, including proper safety standards.
