VIS 2170 Web Content Management

This course focuses on web design utilizing industry-standard, database-driven, content management systems.

Prerequisites: VIS 2140 and VIS 2150

Course Outcomes
  • Students will demonstrate the steps involved in assessing needs, evaluating target audience, and organizing content for web design and development.
  • Students will demonstrate the skills necessary for developing a template-based design for a web content management system, including overall design, responsive layout, color palette, typography, etc.
  • Students will demonstrate the skills necessary for deploying a database-driven website, including implementation of a custom template, content management, and troubleshooting.
