Computer Requirements and Technical Support

Students taking an online course must meet the General Technical Requirements. Not meeting these requirements can lead to an unsuccessful online attempt. 

Students should possess these Core Requirements for their eLearn functionality: 
  • Regular, complete access to a computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone (not recommended due to screen size)
  • Broadband or strong Wi-Fi internet connection (at least 3Mbps upload and download)
  • Compatible and current browser - Google Chrome, macOS Safari, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge
  • Microsoft Office 365 Apps - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc. (Office 365 is provided by Sinclair to all users)
Some online courses may require additional technology (hardware and/or software) that students are responsible for obtaining.

General technical support is available to all Sinclair students for general hardware, software, device support, my.sinclair portal, eLearn access, and any other system-related questions or needs through the Sinclair HelpDesk
