This program provides the education and skills needed by the fire service professional to function in the emergency services field. Courses include administration, inspection, investigation, building construction, fire hydraulics and water suppression systems. Graduates are prepared to enter the workforce as firefighters, fire officers, investigators, inspectors, instructors, or continue their education in fire science or public administration. This degree program contains one or more embedded certificates which will be automatically awarded when the certificate requirements are completed. The Firefighter I, II, Fire Safety Inspector, and Fire Instructor Classes are certification courses through the Ohio Department of Public Safety. Also Firefighter I and II, Fire Instructor I and Fire Officer I and II are accredited by the National Board on Fire Service Professional Qualifications. We are currently in the process of extending ProBoard certification to Fire Instructor II, Fire Officer III and Fire Officer IV.
