ALH 1122 - Pharmacy Technician I 5 Cr. Hr(s). This course is the first of two core courses in the Pharmacy Technician Program and will help prepare students for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board Exam. Course content includes the duties and responsibilities of the pharmacy technician, as well as the mathematical components and the pharmacology foundation necessary to become a successful pharmacy technician. Scope of pharmacy practice including handling of infectious and hazardous waste, interpersonal skills and beginning pharmacology and dose calculations. Prerequisite(s): MAT 0100 or MAT 0600 OR MAT 1110 OR MAT 1130 OR MAT 1445 . MAT 1445 may be taken concurrently with ALH 1122
